Edgar Gasteiger, professor emeritus of physical biology, died Feb. 9 in Ithaca, New York. He was 92. He was 24. Paul H. Steen, the Maxwell M. Upson Professor in the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, who was internationally recognized for his fluid mechanics research, died on Sept. 4, 2020, at the age of 68. In an announcement Sunday, Lombardi identified the student as Phillip Zukowski, who was in the Class of 2023. The Ithaca Police Department is investigating. She was 83.
